[SPOILERS] Arbiter and Delta's Declassified Private Conversations

If you're not up to date on Unichat yet, I strongly suggest you don't read this. You'd be spoiling a plot twist so great that not even the author saw it coming. Yes, I know that just sounds like clickbait, but seriously, you've been warned.

He's not kidding. Anyway, "up to date" here means page 142. ~Xeno

Spoiler:
These are transcripts of some of the PMs Delta and I sent each other, leading up to my realization that he and Padlock are the same person about a month ahead of the actual reveal. It's full of foreshadowing that went right over my head, kind of an embarrassing amount of it actually, so don't think that I'm some super genius for figuring it out ahead of time. I was just given more information than most of you. Also, just so you know, this is not a complete log of my PMs with Delta. It only contains the ones that are relevant to this subject. You might also want to read through the ((Delta)) Code-Breaking/Lore Theorizing thread as well, since a lot of these posts reference it or pertain to it, and there's even more foreshadowing to be found there.

The Conversation:

This message got mentioned on the code-breaking thread, and spawned a whole bunch of theories on my end that couldn't be further from the truth. Many of the following messages from Delta address the topics I was speculating about in that thread. Anyway, I then proceeded to send Delta a very long, very cringey reply in which I mostly just made bad jokes about the News Feed (which is kind of a running theme for me.) I've omitted it here (you're welcome), but all you really need to know is I included a "/rss news 2" command in it in order to see if it would get me any more information about the second story.

The next message I got was from Padlock. Try to read this without shivering, in light of what we know now.

At the time, I had no idea what this meant. I thought maybe it was Delta telling me to stop sending him pointless, annoying messages in his usual vaguely menacing manner. Then when I finally figured out what was going on, it hit me like a truck.

A few days later, I got this message from Delta, addressing my theories in the code-breaking thread. It's a long one, so I have to break it into two screenshots.

If you look closely at the final period in each of the ellipses in Delta's responses, you'll see they're a slightly different colour from the rest of the text. That's because they're links, to here, here, here, and here, respectively. If you didn't notice, don't worry: neither did I until much later.

And that was it for almost a month. I probably wouldn't have figured it out at all, if I hadn't released Frying Pan and decided I wanted to use a Padlock quote as the track image. I wanted to get Padlock's permission before putting a quote of his on my SoundCloud, so I went to his profile page on ComicFury in order to send him a message asking permission. And when I saw what was there, it all clicked. I screenshotted his CF profile and included it in this message to Delta (also divided into two screenshots):

In case you can't read it clearly, it says this: "Location: 6 Feet Under: Beautiful Los Angeles, California". Six feet under, guys. We know who the victim of the shooting reported in the LA Times was now. It was right under my fucking nose the whole time. It was Padlock. And then Delta took his phone, and has been impersonating him ever since. (Within the narrative that Delta is setting up, obviously. I'm not accusing Delta of an actual IRL murder, it's clear that in real life he and Padlock have been the same person since the beginning.)

I then received this message in response, which I'm still trying to figure out to this day. Note that Delta wrote some of the message in white text, which conceals it until you highlight it. I didn't notice this at the time, but I've taken the liberty of highlighting it here so that you can read the whole thing.

I responded with the following message. Note that if I had remembered to highlight the text, I would have already known the answer to number 6. Aside from that, these are all questions I'm still puzzling over to this day.

After a quick exchange in which Delta reminded me to highlight his text (which I'm not going to include because it's not very important and also kind of makes me look like an idiot, the conversation kind of dropped off until I got sent the following message, in which Delta basically gives himself a well-deserved pat on the back for being so clever:

My response to the previous message:

Anyway, from your reactions it would seem that I was wrong in my prediction, which is kind of nice. I ended up feeling like an idiot so many times in this entire exchange that it was kind of a relief to avoid it happening once again. I have to admit that I was really surprised that not even Xeno knew anything about this, though. At the time I thought that this whole Delta/Padlock thing resolved the plot hole of Gods "tracking the alternate account personally" but still arriving at the wrong conclusion so perfectly that it had to be a hint, but apparently that was just a really insane coincidence. Well played, Delta, well fucking played.

Anyway, that's pretty much all of the relevant information on the matter that I have. I'm sorry if any of you feel upset that I kept this a secret from you, but I didn't want to ruin the twist. I might update the code-breaking thread with some of this information eventually, but now that I know that the most active user on that thread was really Delta the whole time it feels kind of redundant.

Bloody hell that's good. There's still a lot we don't know, but it resolves a couple of the strangest points.
I'll get back to being more involved with these when I'm a little less busy.
